Commercial & Residential Painting and Pressure Washing in Fairfield, CT

This homeowner would like a fresh coat of paint to the exterior siding as well as all window trim, window sashes, casements, facia boards, soffits, and gables. Also, the garage will be included in this project. All paint will match the existing color. We can't wait to get started on this project!

This homeowner just had this home built five years ago and all the crown molding on the main level and upstairs hallway, as well as all bedrooms, need to be re-caulked and repainted. For the exterior, we will be soft washing the entire area as well as a carpentry project, which includes cutting out a bigger section on the back of the deck lattice and rebuilding a door that is easier to operate.

3) Inside the porch area caulk 3 cracks in the clapboards and touch up paint
4) Inside porch area sand top left clapboards; spot prime and paint blend
Left Side:
1) Sand, spot prime, and touch up bare clapboards around the new electrical box
2) Sand, spot prime, and touch up bare clapboards around the upper part of electrical conduit near “kill wires” (uppermost wires)
3) Sand, spot prime, and touch up the base trim under the new electrical box
4) Clapboards where the edges meet the window trims (around all 4 windows); sand, spot prime, touch up paint
5) Lower butt edge to the left of the attic window; scrape, sand, spot prime, and touch up paint
6) Sand, spot prime, touch up near the gas meter piping
7) Sand, spot prime, and touch up the peeling paint along the left downspout (lower area and mid area)
8) Near the entry door, caulk 6 cracks and touch up paint
Back Side:
1) Caulk 10-12 cracks, touch up paint
2) Sand, spot prime, touch up the paint where clapboard edges meet corner board trim and window trim
3) Large bubbling area; scrape, fully sand down edges, measure the moisture of the bare wood (must be below 13%), prime and touch up paint
4) 6-7 butt edges scraped, sand, spot prime, and touch up paint
5) Near slider caulk 2 cracks and touch up paint
Right Side:
1) Lower section around flower box; caulk 3 cracks and touch up paint
2) Butt edge to the far right; sand, spot prime and touch up paint
3) Sand and repair left edge ripple along with corner board
4) Upper section; sand, spot prime and touch up around the rear-facing window along the clapboard edges where they meet the corner board and window trim
5) Sand the full lower clapboard, spot prime, touch up paint
6) Sand, spot prime, touch up the paint where the clapboard edges meet corner board and window trim (around all 6 windows)
7) Caulk and touch up paint 4-6 cracks
8) 2-3 butt edges scraped, sand, spot prime, and touch up paint

To begin our crew fully pressure washed the entire deck, steps and rails, including the three doors to be painted to ensure that they start with a clean slate. After the decks were dried, the crew sanded down the deck to remove any loose or peeling stain. They continued by staining the floor with two coats of solid stain. Then they painted all three doors. Alison wanted to have the exterior of her house in Fairfield, CT professionally painted. Our crew began by pressure washing the whole exterior of the home, after the siding is dry, they were then able to sand the surface to remove any deteriorating paint. The next step in the process is to apply a coat of primer, in this case we used an oil-based primer for the bare wood. The Benjamin Moore Satin Paint was used to paint the trim. A full coverage coat of paint was applied to the exterior siding of the home for the color she asked that we match the existing color.

David was not very pleased with the appearance of his home in Fairfield. It has been years since he last painted his home so he decided it was time to add a fresh coat of paint to the exterior of his home, he called MDF to do some carpentry to remove and replace the wooden shingles in areas where they were deteriorating. He also requested that we power wash his detached garage. Now that he is retired he is dedicating his time to restoring his home to its former glory.

          To begin working on his home, Italo's crew had to start by power washing the entire exterior of the home to remove all the dirt and dust to get it clean. They then proceeded by allowing the shingles to fully dry. Once they were fully dry they could begin sanding the exterior so that the primer would adhere properly and minimize chipping in the future. After Italo and his crew were finished with sanding they lightly rinsed the dust off before applying the oil-based primer to the shingles. After the primer dried, they were then able to apply the fresh coat of yellow paint, making it look new again.

          In the midst of working on this home Junior, one of our supervisors, identified a hole in David's main gas pipeline which definitely avoided a disaster! At the end of the project Junior and Italo completed the walkthrough with David and he is beyond pleased with the final result. We are greatful for David letting us work on his home and for him loving the new look of his home.

     Jim Z. contacted MDF Painting on behalf of the Greenfield Hill Congressional Church. This historic site was established in Fairfield between 1725-1727. This full painting and floor renovation project was completed in stages to not disrupt services or clergy!
     Painters began with power washing the entire church. A few different areas required sanding, but peeling paint wasn't the biggest issue for this project. The trim, fascia, soffit, doors, decks, and siding all needed repainting. Sherwin-Williams Emerald Satin paint was applied to all these areas, except the deck, which was painted with Sherwin-Williams Deckscapes Solid Stain. For the interior, two molding pieces were repainted with custom matched Benjamin Moore products. All of the pews and benches were painted as well. The last part of this project was floor refinishing. This process included sanding, staining, and applying coats of polyurethane. The Church looked excellent after applying new coats of paint. MDF was happy to accommodate the needs of the clergy and parishioners!
