MDF will power wash the entire exterior of this Guilford home. We will also prep and paint the pagoda in the rear of the home with paint provided by the homeowner.

This past customer has to fade and peeling stains everywhere. The team is tasked with restoring the beauty of the house and pool area. MDF will pressure wash everywhere on this property we are familiar with! We will sand loose and peeling stain and re-stain retaining walls, playscapes, decking, furniture, wine barrels, pergolas, doors, and of course the house!
This multiple past customers (we have painted his full exterior twice and done many smaller projects including carpentry over the years) have multiple areas of his home with rotted wood and bubbling paint. As part of our Customer Care Program, MDF will soft wash the full home. Next, we will replace miscellaneous rotted clapboard, fascia boards, and soffits. We will then spot prime and repaint to match the existing color. Also, the Bilco door will get some much-needed TLC with a DTM paint!
As you can see the back end of the home has an extensive amount of peeling that needs to be addressed. MDF will sand all problem areas and prime all bare wood here is with a slow drying oil primer to ensure proper adhesion when applying the finish coat of match existing paint to the back end of the home as well as all window Mullins, sashes and casements to be prepped, re-glazed and painted.
These multiple past customers are in dire need of deck refinishing. MDF will pressure wash the entire deck. We will then lightly sand the floor and top rails. Next, we will replace 1 rotted floorboard. Finally, we will stain the floor, stair treads, top rails, and all the posts. We are matching the existing solid stain and saving the customer some money by excluding the vertical surfaces including the spindles, lattice, and rim joists.
This homeowner wants their deck restored and the interior of their home painted. MDF will be pressure washing their deck, lightly sanding the floor and top rail, and staining it with Ben Moore Arborcoat Semi-Solid Stain. Additionally, our carpentry team will be replacing select floor boards and part of the railing along the stairs.
The interior is getting a complete paint job. Textured ceilings are being removed, skim coated, sealed, and painted. The walls are changing color and the trim is being transformed from a dark semi-transparent stain to a white semi-gloss!

First, we will complete a full pressure wash of the entire exterior, including all clapboard and trim. Next, we will sand all areas with deteriorating paint and measure moisture in the sanded areas to determine that the moisture content is below 13%. We will use slow-drying oil-based primer on all bare wood. Then, our team will spot prime all rusted nail heads with oil-based rust-inhibitive primer and use Shermax Premium caulk in all deteriorated areas where the trim meets the clapboard as necessary. After that, we will apply 1 finishing coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Satin to paint all trim, including all fascia and soffits, windows, trim, door trim, and doors.
We will then apply 1 or 2 finish coats of Sherwin-Williams Woodscapes Solid Stain to all clapboards, matching the existing color. To save on material costs, MDF will use the remaining paint that the customer currently has shaken at the store so it can be boxed in and used with the new paint. Finally, MDF will replace the drip edge on the upper left window on the back side of the garage. We are excited to transform this home!

Larry requested we color match the existing color so that’s what we did. Our crew began by sanding down the entire area to remove the rough surface. When they finished sanding, they measured the moisture level to ensure that it is below 13%. We applied a oil-based primer on the bare wood. The crew applied Shermax Premium caulk in all deteriorated areas where the trim meets the siding. The trim was then painted using Sherwin Williams Exterior Emerald Satin paint. The last step for Larry's home was to apply a full coverage coat of Sherwin Williams paint in the color to match the existing one. Larry had a great amount of paint left over from the last time his home was painted and requested our team used that one. Thank you, Larry, for the opportunity of working on your home. Bill had a few things on his to-do list for his home, so he called MDF to help him out. A few things on that list included the exterior trim on his home to be painted, the shutters needed to be removed and installed, all outside doors need to be painted, the metal above every window needed to be painted as well, along with two lamp post, the chair and the bench. All the areas to be painted were first sanded to remove any deteriorating paint. And an oil-based primer was applied on all bare wood. The Sherwin Williams Exterior Emerald Satin Paint was added to the trims. For the metal on top of the windows we added a coat of rust-inhibitive primer and added the finish coat with the Sherwin Williams DTM. The carpenter from our crew replaced one 6’ rotten board in the side of the door frame with composite, along with a 6’ rotten board on the kitchen door. The paint we used for the doors is the Sherwin Williams Emerald Semi-Gloss.
Carmen had seen a few of our yard signs around and decided to call us to have the exterior of her home in Guilford, CT painted including the interior of her garage painted as well. The entire home was pressure washed and sanded to remove any deteriorating paint. The crew then applied a coat of an oil-based primer on all the siding. They also added Shermax Premier caulk to all the areas where the trim meets the siding. The paint used for the trim is the Sherwin Williams Emerald Satin paint in the color to match the existing one. For the siding we applied a coat of a custom color matching paint form Sherwin Williams. The garage was prepped to paint all four walls were primed and painted with the full coverage coat with the Sherwin Williams paint in the shade of SW9179 Anchors Aweigh.
David contacted MDF to have the exterior of his home painted. The entire home was fully power washed. After the siding dried all the areas were sanded. Before applying the primer, the crew measured the moisture to make sure it was below 13 % once thee machine displayed the results, they then applied the coat of an oil-based primer. For the trims on his home we added a coat of Benjamin Moore Exterior Regal paint. They then applied the finishing coat of Benjamin Moore Arborcoat Solid Stain to all the siding, for the color we match the existing one. While working on the exterior of his home he decided he wanted to have his deck done. It was fully pressure washed. The crew had to execute extensive sanding and scraping to be able to remove loose and peeling stain. After it was sanded, we then were able to finish by staining the spindles, railings, posts, fascia, stringers with a coat of Sherwin Williams Super Deck Solid stain to match the existing color as well.
Joe wanted to have the exterior of his home painted, the last time he painted his home was 10 years ago. And after having seen one of our yard signs downtown near his house he decided to call MDF to professionally paint his home.
Crew leader, Keoni, and his crew got to work. They pressure washed all the exterior of the home. Then began the sanding process once the areas were dry. For all exterior painting projects, we measure the moisture on all the sanded areas to make sure the moisture is below 13 %. If the moisture is above 13 % then the primer and paint cannot be added to the home because we risk peeling, and the end result won’t be the best. After making sure its below 13% they continued by applying an oil- based primer to the bare wood. On the trims they applied Sherwin Williams Exterior Emerald, Satin paint. For the siding, a full coverage paint was applied in Joe’s choice of color.
Adam and Jennifer contacted MDF to professionally have the exterior of their home entirely painted. They decided it was time to switch up the look on their home in Guilford, CT.
The first step of this project was to pressure wash the exterior of the home to make sure it is clean and softly rinse the roof as well. The next step is to sand the siding on the home and apply an oil-based primer. Allowing the primer to dry, we then applied a full coverage paint to the exterior of the home from Sherwin Williams in the shade of SW 7674 Peppercorn.

Joe C called MDF Painting to work on his interior. He wanted to paint the hallway, foyer, dining room, kitchen, and living room of his home in Guilford, CT, and remove the textured ceiling. MDF was happy to help with this ceiling and wall update!
To prep for paint, painters had to remove the wallpaper in every room. The walls needed to be sanded and cleaned to remove all traces of wallpaper and glue. Next, the painters removed the textured ceilings. They repaired any uneven patches that textured ceilings tend to hide by using compound and fiberglass tape. They sanded these repairs down before priming and painting. Joe decided to paint the ceilings a simple shade of bright white. Benjamin Moore's painting products were used throughout this project. Cocoa Sand, Navajo White, and White Dove coated the walls for the kitchen, living room, hallway, foyer, and dining room. The trim was painted only in the dining room, using Benjamin Moore's Advanced Satin in White. Joe loved the new colors of his home and doesn't miss the wallpaper or the textured ceilings!
John B. called MDF Painting to complete carpentry repairs to his home in Guilford, CT. Areas throughout the home, deck, and breezeway needed attention. He also wanted fresh coats of paint to change the hue of his home.
Clapboard splices were repaired on the garage, breezeway roofline, windows, and the patio. Trim for windows, and the front door was replaced on the left side of the house.
