In 1995, MDF Painting & Power Washing started with the goal of painting homes in the neighborhoods of New Haven County. Since that time, MDF Painting & Power Washing has grown exponentially and become a national "leader in the residential painting industry." Today, we proudly provide painting, pressure washing, deck refinishing, carpentry, and interior design services to residents throughout Connecticut.
We base all of our work around the basic principles of honesty, integrity, and excellence in customer service. We always strive to provide amazing attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to educate customers so they can be informed consumers that receive the best work possible.
A few reasons why our company has the best employees in the business:
- Mandatory drug testing and background checks are required during the hiring process.
- Minimum 3 years prior work experience in professional painting required for a basic painter position.
- Minimum of 7 years prior professional painting required for Crew Leader position.
- All Senior Crew Leaders are hired from within after a minimum of 5 years working with us.
- All crew leaders are proficient in the English Language.
- All employees regularly take part in tailgate field training, OSHA safety training, and community service projects.
- All tenured employees are legally part-owners through our profit-sharing plan.

About the Owner
Owner: Mark DeFrancesco
Mark DeFrancesco has been in the painting business since 1995 and has been a professional business consultant to the painting industry since 2008. For over 20 years, Mark has been a leading residential painting contractor and a featured speaker for various PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America) seminars and workshops nationwide.
He is the author of multiple books specific to the painting industry and has both bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston College. With over 20 years in the painting business, Mark has served over 4,900 past customers in Connecticut.
Mark loves spending time with his wife, daughter, and the rest of his close-knit Italian family! He enjoys traveling, going to live sporting events, and trying new restaurants.
