Exterior Carpentry in Greenwich, CT
Challenge
Bruce S. contacted MDF Painting for an exterior overhaul that included painting, staining, and carpentry. The carpentry work extended throughout the front and back of the home's exterior. The damage was mostly around the roof. This is usually the spot an area that requires attention. The main function of the soffit is to protect the roof rafters from exposure. Soffits are made with aluminum or vinyl, with vents either inserted into the design or poked through the material. It helps provide air circulation for your entire home and limits moisture exposure. The fascia has different functions; securing the roof tiles, keeping the soffit waterproofed and adding a finishing touch to the aesthetic of your home. For Bruce, the soffit return, the fascia, shingles, and a few trim pieces under the bay window needed repair.
Solution
After these issues were addressed, painters applied primer to the exterior. The stain on the shingles used Sherwin Williams Woodscapes in a solid stain finish. Bruce wanted to keep his exterior color the same, so the painter's brought in a chip to have the paint custom matched. The result was a soft and warm brown shade in Sherwin Williams Emerald satin finish. MDF warrantied the carpenter work performed, and Bruce is ecstatic with the results!
