Challenge
Rosario C. called MDF Painting after using our company for several painting maintenance projects over the years. He requested new paint for two residential homes for students after the students left. One of these homes had outdated paint materials that included lead. MDF's painters knew how to safely remove it before repainting the building.
Solution
Technicians carefully cleaned the surface with a softwash to not remove any lead paint chips. Painters covered themselves from head to toe to avoid any direct contact with the contaminated paint. The carpentry team replaced rotted window sills, a fascia board, and molding pieces around the gutters. Repairs on the back steps made them more steady. After adding primer to the wooden exterior, Sherwin Williams Woodscapes was painted on the siding in a white shade. Sherwin Williams Emerald Satin was painted on the trim. This student home is healthier and brighter than ever before!
