Power Washing in Briarcliff Manor, NY
Challenge
The homeowner wants to repair rotted wood and re-stain the house.
Solution
MDF will power wash, prepare and stain the house. Scope of work as follows:
-full pressure wash of the entire exterior including all shingles and trim
-sand all areas with deteriorating paint (trim only)
-measure moisture in sanded areas to determine that moisture content is below 13%
-use slow-drying oil-based primer on all bare wood on trim
-spot prime all rusted nail heads with oil-based rust-inhibitive primer
-use Shermax Premium caulk in all deteriorated areas where trim meets clapboard as necessary
-apply 1 finish coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Satin paint to all trim
-trim includes all shutters, window trim, corner boards, columns, fascia & soffits
-please note
-apply 2 finish coats of Sherwin-Williams Woodscapes Solid Stain to all shingles (color samples provided by MDF)
-pressure wash deck
-solid stain portions of deck that are wooden including rim joist, 2 joist beams, 2 stringers
-prepare and paint deck columns (DTM)
-stain garage doors similar color stain & coat driveway side door with a paint that more similarly matches the garage door stain
-refinish front door; stain and poly
