Home Office Tips!
The home office may be a new addition to your space, but that doesn't mean it should be lackluster. Feeling the inspiration is vital to being productive. We have been painting offices for years, and we wanted to share our expertise with you! Here's the best advice we can offer to turn your home office from make-shift to purpose-driven!
- Think Yellow: The color yellow provides mental stimulation. Pops of the color on your desk in decor, accent walls or furniture could be the source of your next big idea. Other colors that spark your interest in the form of art or knick-knacks might help your creativity too.
- Light: Pick a spot that has great natural light. Also, utilize ceiling lights or lamps to make sure you're able to be seen during those conference calls.
- Shelves & Organization: Organization is the key to productivity. When our space is clean, our brains can think more clearly. Bring in as many shelves and desks needed to keep everything in its place. Make the best of what you have.
- Comfort: If you're working full or part-time, you're spending several hours a day in this office. Making it a place you can sit in without discomfort will help get your work finished. Throwing in several chairs or a couch to be able to move around if you have the space to do so may help quell any restlessness you feel.
- Add a plant: If you aren't able to set up your desk in front of a window, adding a plant will keep your air clean.
- Re-arrange & change: Don't be afraid to mix it up! If your desk isn't working for you, change the set-up of the room. Adding new paint or furniture could help fix your rut too.
