How to Make a Room Feel More Cozy
Feeling cramped in a small room is a common problem. If you have a place with high ceilings and an open floor plan, however, you might want the walls to feel closer. This can be a big problem in an industrial or refurnished space. However, it's a problem that can be fixed easily with paint. Using any or all of these tips will help you feel cozier at home:
- Use warm colors. If you have been mulling over the idea of painting the walls a dark and bold, this would be the best opportunity to put it into practice. Think dark greens, deep reds, and striking turquoises.
- Paint the ceiling. After picking the fun and bold color you want for your wall, use a similar color for the ceiling. It is common to add a percentage of white paint to the shade to blend the room together. Adding another color to the trim will help as well.
