Exterior Painting and Deck Stain in Trumbull, CT
Challenge
Heather and Greg H. called MDF Painting to update the exterior of their home. Their requests included a full power wash, painting for the siding, doors, and pillars, then finishing with a fresh deck stain. The pressure wash cleaned the entire home from top to bottom, including the trims and clapboard. The siding close to the roof had peeling issues, and this needed to be addressed with sanding. Sanding off paint that has begun to break down lets paint adhere to the smoothest possible surface. When the bare wood starts to show, the moisture levels are measured.
Solution
MDF prefers to use an oil-based primer on bare wood surfaces. The couple had asked that their shutters be taken down and re-painted before painting the siding. Then, the storm door and pillars were sanded down, spot primed, and painted. The exterior color was matching using a small chip. Sherwin Williams custom mixed the shades for Greg and Heather's home in the Emerald Satin finish. For the deck staining, MDF used Sherwin William's SuperDeck and custom mixed to match the existing color. Greg and Heather loved the brightened look of fresh paint on their home! If you need a full interior, exterior, or even both painted, MDF can take care of it all!
