Deck Carpentry and Staining in Northford, CT
Challenge
Bruce B. called MDF Painting for maintenance on his deck. This included replacing a few damaged planks, power washing, and adding a new stain. MDF was enthusiastic to repair and repaint for this repeat customer!
Solution
Painters pressure washed the entire deck area to begin the project. The cracking issues with the previous stain were addressed through sanding. Five deck planks were replaced due to crumbling wood. Before adding a new primer or stain, the bare wood's moisture was measured to ensure the cracking wouldn't come back. The nail heads were treated with an anti-rust coating as well. The deck was already a vibrant red, and Bruce didn't change colors. Painters custom color-matched in Sherwin Williams Superdeck Stain. Bruce loved the flawless results of his new deck!
