Semi-Transparent Staining in Guilford, CT
Challenge
Marion B. has been a long-time client of MDF Painting. For the past three years, she has scheduled a power wash of her natural wood home. When setting up her most recent appointment, she tacked on interior painting, two different bathroom repairs, and exterior staining. After completing the pressure washing, the first item on the painting agenda was starting up the exterior. Due to the semi-transparent finish, there were variations in the color. Clients opt-in to this type of stain if they prefer a natural look that shows the unique characteristics of the wood. These natural wood variations are beautiful and really suit an artistic spirit like Marion.
Solution
To give the stain the best possible surface to adhere, the entire surface area of the home, including the roof-line, chimney, and back deck were pressure washed. The cleaning solutions used target dirt, mold, and mildew. Painters used a 2450+ PSI (pounds per square inch) pressure washer, then hand cleaned the gutters, chimney, and roof-line for this particular project. MDF recommended using Sherwin Williams Woodscapes Semi-Transparent Stain in Chestnut to get the best blending possible. Marion's home looks fresh and unique, just as she expected! MDF appreciates your continued business!
