Exterior Painting in Riverside, CT
Challenge
Jennifer and Steve called MDF Painting after hearing about the work their neighbor Chris had done last year. The couple was looking to paint the exterior of their Riverside home. MDF blew away the competition after they spoke about their painting questions with Paint Care Consultant, Jamie. They felt confident that our experts would take care of their home.
Solution
Power washing technicians cleaned the home and garage before painting. Painters came back a few days later to allow the wooden exterior dry completely. This small step prevents any peeling and bubbling of the new paint later on. From there, the crew sanded off the previous paint. When the bare wood is exposed, painters measure the moisture levels. If that number is below 13%, it's safe to paint. MDF prefers to use an oil-based primer on wooden exteriors because it helps the new paint adhere better. Sherwin Williams products were featured in the project, including the Shermax Premium caulk and Emerald Satin Paint. Jennifer and Steve decided on a beautiful shade of Sky Blue for the stain on their siding. It wasn't hard to see why they were thrilled with the results! They also loved how fast their project was scheduled and completed. We loved working with them!
